Position on Bill at 2018
Session of Oregon Legislature:

    SB 1516:    Support

The Oregon Progressive Party supports SB 1516, which establishes a Small Business Expansion Loan Fund to be administered by Oregon Business Development Department for purpose of making loans of early stage growth capital to individuals and business entities with 50 or fewer employees that may not be able to obtain adequate traditional commercial or private financing to meet operational and growth needs.

This sort of early growth loan fund is much needed by Oregon's small businesses, many of which cannot obtain financing from conventional sources.  The rule is:  You can get a loan from a bank, as long as you really do not need it.

Of course, the SBULF needs an appropriation to get started.
